Presenting:

David Cruikshanks

David is a war veteran turned award-winning photographer turned filmmaker. Not content with making films for businesses and charities he went back to university and studied for a Masters in Writing Television Fiction where he learned the art of television script writing from the industry’s finest writers. He loves to write short stories, poems and screenplays. He has performed some of his work recently on television and has grabbed the opportunity to act in several short films while he waits to become an overnight writing success. David lives in Kirkcaldy with his long suffering wife Rebecca and the luckiest dog in the world; a Cocker spaniel called Lucy. His accompanying photograph was taken on holiday, which should go some way to explaining the self-righteous grin. See David’s photography at http://digitalmediafife.smugmug.com/

Bob Brews

Bob is a self-published writer with two books of poems, The Many Thoughts of Bob Brews and Second Thoughts, and a lesser known gothic horror story type novel called the Mark of Satan. He has recently taken up playing the Ukulele and singing various genres of music, from Leonard Cohen through Bobby Darrin to Simon and Garfunkel. The Corries and other Scottish music also are included in a varied repertoire.

Andrew C Ferguson and Kelly Brooks

Andrew is a writer and musician based in Glenrothes. His novel, The Wrong Box, was released last year by Thunderpoint and is available from Amazon and Waterstone’s. However, in recent years, he’s been focusing more and more on music, both solo and in collaboration with others.

Kelly was formerly Debbie Harry in tribute band Gentlemen Prefer Blondie before joining up with Andrew to form Tribute to Venus Carmichael in 2008, (yes, this is their tenth anniversary year.) She lives in Loanhead with her partner and their daughter.

They formed Tribute to Venus Carmichael, a ‘tribute band’ to a long-lost, legendary, (some say mythical), singer-songwriter from the Los Angeles Canyons scene of the 1970s. Find out more about Andrew and Kelly here
